Monday, October 24th Bet Report

I will be starting a new series of blogs this week!

Every Monday, Wednesday, and (most) Sundays I will be picking 2 - 4 games each from the NBA, NHL and NFL and will provide a quick rundown previewing the games, along with my side lean and one player prop if I like anything. Looking forward to this, should be fun! I will let you know if I'm actually betting something here as well.

Let's start with the NBA.

Indiana Pacers @ Philadelphia 76ers -

The Pacers come into this game off of a win against the Pistons, which doesn't tell us much. The 76ers are hungry for their first win of the year, and I believe this get it here. The line at -720 in their favor should tell us all we need to know. That being said, a -12 spread is too much for me to touch. Stay away from that. I lean the Over 227 in this spot. I think both these teams will play at a quick pace, and there will be plenty of points to go around in this game.

Player Prop: Joe Embiid Under 12.5 Rebounds -118 (Straight betting this)

Brooklyn Nets @ Memphis Grizzlies -

The Brooklyn Nets just won a tough, close game at home against the Toronto Raptors to get their first win of the season. Memphis looks like a strong team thus far as well. A -1.5 spread for the Grizzlies tells me this will be a close game, so picking a side here is not easy. I'll go with the Grizzlies at home to get it done here. I think Ja Morant will go absolutely crazy in this game. Take the Grizzlies moneyline on this one.

Player Prop: Ben Simmons Under 7.5 Assists -144 (Straight betting this)

Boston Celtics @ Chicago Bulls -

If you ask me, the Celtics look like the best team in the NBA right now. Tatum and Brown are the scariest duo I think I've ever seen. Both of them are capable of dropping 30+ separately or even together on the same night. It's actually crazy how good they look. The Bulls just simply won't have enough to keep up here, so take the Celtics to cover the -4.5. I also lean toward the Over 222.5.

Player Prop: Jaylen Brown Over 22.5 Points (It's his birthday!?!) (Straight betting this)

On to the NHL.

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Edmonton Oilers -

This is the most interesting game on Monday's slate. Both these teams are capable of scoring a lot, hence why this total sits at 7. I don't care, just take the Over. The Oilers -1.5 is also in play for me, even though it sits at plus odds. I can see this game ending 5 - 3 Oilers on an empty net goal in the closing seconds of the game. This one should be fun to watch!

Washington Capitals @ New Jersey Devils -

Not much thought for this one, I'll be taking the Devils ML. The Capitals just aren't a good hockey team right now, That's all.

And finally, the Monday Night Football game!

Chicago Bears @ New England Patriots -

Why have their been so many horrible primetime matchups this season? This one is no exception. Mac Jones makes his return, and I actually think that spells bad news for the Patriots honestly. He didn't look good before his injury, and I haven't heard anything that leads me to believe that he will be any better now. Take the Bears +7.5, and the Under 40.5 in this one. Thank me later!

Player Prop: Justin Fields Over 160.5 Passing Yards

Thanks, let's have a day! I'm locked into the three NBA props above. Peace.
