The Kings had an extremely productive offseason. Drafting Keegan Murray appears to be a huge win for the franchise. They signed Malik Monk, and traded for Kevin Herter to add shooting that they desperately needed. I like this team moving forward, but it still won't be enough to compete in the brutal Western Conference this season.
2021-22 Record: 30 - 52
2022-23 NBA Win Total Odds: 33.5 (DraftKings)
2022-23 NBA Championship Odds: +70000 (DraftKings)
This team is in an interesting position. They're clearly a step above the basement of the Western Conference, but still not good enough to compete with the middle or top of the conference. They'll land somewhere near the bottom, ahead of a few terrible teams. It will be fun to see how Keegan Murray develops in the short and long term. He looks promising.
Over 33.5 (I think they will barely go over this number, landing around 34-35 wins).
Keegan Murray will establish himself as a serious scoring option on this team as the year progresses and will be in the discussion for Rookie of the Year.
