This one is a battle of SoCal vs. NoCal, with the Rams heading into San Francisco to take on the 49ers. The Rams are coming off an impressive win against Kyler Murray's Cardinals, where they essentially held Murray in-check the entire game. The 49ers are entering week 4 coming off a weird 11-10 loss to the Denver Broncos. Oof. Having George Kittle on the field for a second consecutive week will boost the Offense a little, but not a lot.
Recent history shows that the 49ers have dominated this matchup with the Rams, winning all six games in the past three years. With both of these team's defense looking strong to start the season, I expect this to be a slow, grind-it-out, boring football game. It will likely come down to who wins the turnover battle here. I think Matthew Stafford and the Rams figure it out late in the game and escape San Fran with a victory tonight, potentially with the game hanging in the balance until the final possession.
The only bet I'm placing tonight is on Cooper Kupp - Under 93.5 Receiving Yards.
I just see this game being low-scoring, with several stalled drives due to great defensive play from both teams. He didn't even sniff this 93.5 number last week, and I think it happens again here tonight.
Under 42.5 - Just sticking with the theme here that defense will dominate this game. I could easily see this game ending 20 - 13.
Final Score: See above. I'll say this game ends Rams 20 - 49ers 13.
