It's another week for Russell Wilson and the Broncos in a primetime slot, and I expect nothing but the same poor football from them again in this game against the Chargers.
The Broncos Offense has looked really bad, plain and simple. With Wilson now dealing with a shoulder injury, compiled with the loss of Javonte Williams with a torn ACL, this Broncos team is spiraling downward quickly.
The Chargers come into this game likely still without their top Wideout Keenan Allen, still nursing an injury. Even though he's a huge part of what they do, the Charges Offense has managed to look pretty solid so far this season. Herbert has a done a nice job getting as many skill players involved as possible, and Austin Ekeler has been "carrying" the load nicely lately.
That being said, if the Broncos want this game to be competitive, they'll need to heavily rely on their Defense, which has been playing well. They are basically the only reason Denver has even had a chance to win in any of their games this season. They'll need to force a turnover or two early on in the game to help the abysmal Offense gain some momentum. Otherwise, this one will be all Chargers.
Broncos games have gone under the total almost every game so far, and I expect that to happen again on Monday Night. Expect the Broncos Defense to keep Herbert and the boys in check for a majority of the game, while Russell Wilson and the Offense struggle to move the ball as well. This game will be another ugly primetime matchup.
